Car Sale Novel

Dear Editor,

Do you have any idea how hard it is to sell a car these days? This is the struggle of Melbourne anthropologist Tom McDaniel, who has forty-eight hours to sell his car, or the entire city will go up in flames. Along with his best friend (and future lover) Alice, Tom has to race against the clock in a battle between life and death, good and evil. Who will prevail?

Just a few of the roadblocks in Tom’s way are getting a roadworthy certificate near Frankston; the town known for vandalism to cars of all kinds, his crumbling relationship with his father and his fear of new tyres. It’s not an understatement to say that selling his Holding Common Door will be the hardest thing he’s ever done.

And all the while, the Mafia is on his tail. They’ve come all the way from New York to steal his Common Door, and the Yakuza want a piece of it as well. They want the right door’s mirror, to be exact, because it hides the map to the buried treasure of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the famous composer. And it’s only a matter of time before they find Tom and take it.

Car Mechanic is a gripping romance novel that will have the reader turning the pages faster than they can say “what are the Yakuza doing here?” If you’re not shipping Tom and Alice by the end of page one, you may be a robot. This fiction novel stands on its own but is intended as the first of a series, featuring Tom McDaniel and a different romance plot each time (and a new thrilling countdown challenge, of course).

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Editor’s note: It seems like you just made this all up as you went along, but for some reason, it’s kind of working for me? I want this book now. You’ve got a bestseller here.

My verdict: readers will be putting it on the coffee table and keeping it there.
