I want to learn a trade. I don’t care what type of trade I do, to be completely fair. I just heard that certain trades make a lot of money, and I need to save for a house deposit. I’m twenty-two and after I finished school I took a gap year to figure out what I wanted to do. Took me four years to figure it out, but now I know I want to be a tradie so I’m going to start looking for trades.
What is the most attractive trade? I’ll have to ask my lady friends and whatever they say I’ll get an apprenticeship in that. Before I start applying for apprenticeships, I’m going to get all the tools and a ute toolbox. Melbourne bosses really like guys to have their own stuff and so if I have all my own tools then I’ll get a job easily.
I expect that once I start work, the ladies will be lining up for me. I know I’m an attractive dude, but at the moment I keep losing out to guys that have started their careers. I guess the ladies like stability these days, and so stability is what they’re going to get.
I wonder if I should get one of those 4×4 aluminium canopies to add to my ute too. I don’t know that much about utes or four wheel drives, so I probably won’t become a mechanic, but I can deck my car out enough to look the part. I want to be a walk up start to a job and I’ll do whatever I can to make that happen.
I’ll keep you guys updated on what happens with my job. I’m going to put money on it right now – I’ll have myself a lady within three months of getting an apprenticeship. I’ll be able to spoil her too with all the money I’ll be making. Going to be good stuff.
